Here is something worth knowing before you sign anything: published tow ratings assume conditions that do not exist here. Naturally aspirated engines lose roughly three percent of their power per thousand feet of elevation, so a gas half-ton that handles a load fine in Pueblo is working considerably harder pulling the same trailer up Monarch. That is a real reason people in the valley end up in a diesel or a 2500 rather than the truck they walked in planning to buy.
